Northwest Austin Suburb

Farms & Ranches in Cedar Park, TX

Welcome to Cedar Park, a growing Williamson County suburb about 16 miles northwest of downtown Austin.

Cedar Park is a city in Williamson County, Texas, with a small portion extending into Travis County, located about 16 miles northwest of downtown Austin. Its population was 77,595 at the 2020 census, and it has since grown into one of the largest and most recognizable suburbs in the Austin metropolitan area. Cedar Park's rise is tied to the region's rapid expansion, as the city transformed from a rural crossroads into a family-oriented suburb along the U.S. Highway 183 corridor. The city's modern identity is anchored by a blend of amenities unusual for a suburb its size. The H-E-B Center at Cedar Park is a premier Central Texas entertainment venue, hosting more than 150 events a year, including major concerts and the home games of the Texas Stars hockey team and the Austin Spurs basketball team. The city also maintains more than 1,000 acres of parks, led by the 90-acre Brushy Creek Lake Park, which offers trails, lake access, and natural areas along Brushy Creek. Schools are a central part of Cedar Park's appeal. Most of the city is served by Leander Independent School District, one of the region's largest and fastest-growing districts, while portions near Brushy Creek fall within Round Rock ISD and a small area near Lakeline is zoned to Austin ISD. Because school assignments vary by street, families commonly verify their zoned campuses before choosing a home. Cedar Park's economy and daily life are oriented toward the broader Austin metro. Many residents commute to Austin or Round Rock for work in technology, healthcare, and professional services, using U.S. 183, the 183A Toll Road, and RM 1431. The city appeals to families and professionals seeking strong schools, extensive parks, and a convenient Northwest Austin location within a well-developed suburban setting.
